Kamiya rounded out his discussion with an invitation to industry to help broaden the community of interest to raise the level of excellence in small units.
“Reflective of the moral obligation, reflective of the senior leadership direction, of the operational, we will spend a large amount of our focus over the next couple of years examining this new triad, additive to the ones previous, of the individual, the small unit leader and of the small group with the intent to unleash the power and raise the level of excellence in our small units,” Kamiya said.
He spoke to industry and acknowledged their question of ‘How can we [industry] help you on this quest to raise the bar of excellence for our small units? Empower them? Unleash the power?’
“We want to broaden our community of interest, develop required partnerships,” Kamiya said.
Kamiya said they have plans in development to host an industry day at the Joint Warfighting Center in Suffolk sometime within the next 30 days
If you would like to know more or ask Maj. Gen. Kamiya questions, he’ll be back here at the USJFCOM booth tomorrow morning at 10:00 am.
Have a great day!
