It’s just after 7am and people are milling about getting ready for day 2 of the Joint Warfighting Conference. New York Time’s best selling author, Dr. Thomas P.M. Barnett, who wrote The Pentagon’s New Map, will start the day. I also noticed on the schedule we have Adm. Eric Olson, Air Force Maj. Gen. Kevin Kennedy, retired Marine Gen. Anthony Zinni, retired Marine Lt. Gen. Paul Van Riper and retired Navy Vice Adm. Albert Konetzni, Jr. to speak on some pretty interesting topics like “The Human Dimension: How Do We Develop Our People?,” “Building a Balanced Joint Force: How Does the U.S. Military Adapt?” and “Beyond the Military: How Do We Foster and Employ a More Comprehensive Approach in the Future Security Environment?”
With the sun shining and the beach a few blocks away, today’s a good day to visit the Joint Warfighting Conference. Hope to see you!
