Casey Bain from our Joint Fires Integration and Interoperability Team (JFIIT) has a great story about the work JFIIT did when they recently worked with the U.S. Army’s Joint Readiness Training Center and the U.S. Air Force’s Green Flag East to enhance the joint intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) training of the Army’s 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, a team which will deploy later this year.
“Many people don’t fully understand what joint assets can bring to the fight – they really don’t receive that level of knowledge until they come here to train.” — Army Maj. Typhanie Montemayor, senior training mentor, military intelligence company, JRTC.

The joining of those different tools appears to be a key for success and a key lesson learned. Good to see.
The article forgets to mention GREEN FLAG – LITTLE ROCK was also part of the rotation. Four C-130 aircrews from the 19 AW at Little Rock, approximately 50 personnel from the 615 CRG, and 37 AE personnel supported by 2 CCTs and 2 AMLOs flew 18 missions at AMC’s Only JFCOM Accredited Joint Training Venue.
