JKO brings service branches closer together

I just finished writing about Joint Knowledge Online partnering with the Air Force to create a single sign on point for online joint training.

This Web site could ultimately be used by all military branches for online joint training, with the framework possibly benefiting other DoD and OSD organizations down the line.

JKO’s Mark Willmann described the benefit this way:

If JKDDC can assist the service portal systems to become more interoperable through initiatives such as this one, then that improves the individual service members access to the full extent of the DoD capabilities that are available to them.

  1. I have a sponsored account with the JKO and would like to know if someone from any of the services now sponsor contractor’s who need this training to support their missions?

I would also like to know if retirees can use the portal to keep up their skills?

  2. The services can sponsor supporting contractors. Retirees can get accounts if they have a sponsor.
