I recently travelled to lovely Camp Lejeune, N.C., to witness first hand USJFCOM’s Future Immersive Training Environment (FITE) Joint Capability Technology Demonstration (JCTD), where Marine warfighters got a chance to try out a new training tool designed to make their first firefight no worse than their last training event.

This testing is part of spiral one, which is set in a total virtual reality environment. Later this year, the program will demonstrate spiral two, which is mixed reality and will give warfighters physical challenges as well as the mental ones they encounter in spiral one.
