The Joint Distributed Operations Project, a USJFCOM Joint Concept Development and Experimentation Directorate-led look into operations conducted over wide geographical areas, finished its final experimentation phase two weeks ago with a fully manned joint task force headquarters testing the project’s potential solutions and best practices to their breaking points. J9 experiment leads to results in Afghanistan

USJFCOM’s Joint Concept Development and Experimentation Directorate recently finished an experiment that evaluated the military’s partnerships with civilian agencies in the area of safety, security and justice reform. The results led to a team being deployed to Afghanistan to aid in standing up a new task force there responsible for the nation’s prisons, detentions and corrections system. Read more here.
